All was fine, it was an appartament not in the same place to the main hotel, the staff very attentive, the relation quality-price it's well, the location in the city was like a 30 minutes walking at the center city, 10 minutes by bus (£1.30) not expensive. Not breaksfast. I liked it.

The neat room with adequate space, the cheerful and friendly stsff who was most helpful. I forgot to ask his name.

Staff was incredibly helpful and nice and the room presented itself as in the offer. We loved the continental breakfasts as everything was fresh and we could choose whatever we wanted. Although you need 30 minutes to get to the city centre (on foot), there is frequent bus service offering fairly cheap day tickets :)

Staff very helpful as we checked in while car was live parked outside and very helpful in holding our bags for us the next morning while we went on a walk after we had officially checked out.Bed was comfortable. Location was excellent for us in terms of proximity to restaurants, and Waverly train Station and all the downtown sights.Continental breakfast fully met our needs.

Room was very small- no room to actually open two suitcases. Took some fussing to get bedroom lights to work- turned out one was not plugged in.

The owner of the B&B was very nice and helpful. The location and price was great.

The house and rooms are a bit on the shabby side. The housekeeper forgot to put pillow cases on the pillows on the bed when we arrived. We also found the door to our room left open a couple of times after coming back at the end of the day from sightseeing. The owner apologized and said he will monitor the housekeeper's work more closely.

Very nice room with antique decoration, clean and comfortable.

Tiny car parking space. Inadequate breakfast buffet.

The room was quite spacious...perfect for a large family. Breakfast was complimentary and worth going down each morning before heading out. Nice to have WiFi available.

A little far out from the center of town. However, hotel was directly across from a bus stop which would have made the distance not an issue. Parking was available behind the hotel, but since the space was somewhat limited, I never moved the car.

Up 2 flights of very steep stairs, the beds were far too soft and the breakfast was disgusting.

We had a triple room, it was a nice large room with decent enough furnishings (bit old but fine). I did not get to try the breakfast - as had to leave early for bus - but it did smell good as I was leaving, and the layout in dining room looked nice.

I liked the quiet comfortable homely feeling that the house brings

    Not a lot.

Rooms were average at best, there is no cooked breakfast in the traditional sense as it is a vegetarian guest house, which was not mentioned in the description. We were very disappointed in this guest house. I would thoroughly recommend avoiding it.

Very kind personal, city center can be reached by food, free parking behind the house available.

Wifi not available in every room.

The personnel was very nice and helpful. They also seemed to know the area well.

The bed was uncomfortable and the showers had no pressure at all.

The room was nice, also the breakfast room. The location was good - right opposite a bus stop and the buses are frequent and cheap into Edinburgh and back, running till 11.30 P.M. The breakfast contained no meat but was still a good range of food, well prepared. It was quiet - not too much traffic noise, nice ambience. Good shower - although private bathroom was not en suite.

Fantastic bargain for a hotel close to the city centre. Bus stop on door step if you required one (we walked) lots of interesting pubs nearby! The hotel and room was quite clean and tidy. There was a slight smell of Arabic cooking throughout due to the owners nationality: this could be corrected easily by putting an extractor fan in their kitchen. The owners were polite, cheerful and helpful. The breakfast was good even though there was no bacon or sausages, they are Muslims so that is acceptable, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work that one out, I'm referring to other comments about no bacon, OMG!! you have to respect other cultures; there was plenty of just about everything else you would require for breakfast. I we had "got what we paid for" in other places we would be lucky to get a bed let alone a breakfast as well. Thanks Ivy Guest House. Man and wife (Scottish) I was there for the marathon (watching friends!!)

Slight smell of Arabic food throughout hotel, this could be easily corrected by installing a large extractor fan.
